Borehole

A borehole was drilled on the grounds of the Rising Star School to provide clean water for the students. As the site is open to the public, a wall was built around it for protection.

The wall is circular, referring both to the traditional Mother’s House on a rural homestead and to the geometry of the borehole inside. Following traditional masonry construction, the entrance gate is set in a round arch.

The construction is funded by the German organisation ZimRelief e.V.
